Donation/Sponsorship Opportunities
Background
The San Diego Junior Golf Association will conduct some 250 junior golf events at approximately 70 golf courses during the spring and summer all around the San Diego County area. Currently the program has 750 boys and girls between the ages of 5-17 playing locally and over 1,000 from 45 states and 50 countries participating in the Callaway Golf Junior World Golf Championships.
The following categories provide opportunities for the selected allocation of donor and/or sponsorship monies:
Individual Tournament Sponsorships:
Tournament Sponsorship - $2,500
- Sponsorship recognition on all promotional material relating to the tournament
- Provides trophies and awards
- Covers printing and postage expenses
Premier Sponsorship - $5,000
- Sponsorship recognition on all promotional material relating to the
tournament
- Sponsor's name and/or logo on the official SDJGA website AND linkage
to an
individual, company or organization*
- Recognition in the SDJGA Annual Awards Program
- Provides trophies and awards
- Covers printing and postage expenses
*Every SDJGA tournament can be entered by utilizing the Association website www.sdjga.org. This website is the official information center for the Association and contains all services not only used by our member families, but any parties interested in SDJGA programs. In 2008 this site garnered over 130,000 visits.
Callaway Golf Junior World Golf Championships:
Volunteer Expenses:
- Underwrite costs for volunteer recruitment and uniform allocation.
Activity Expenses:
- Underwrite costs of staging Junior World events designed to enhance the cultural learning experience for contestants (i.e. opening ceremonies & banquet, and closing ceremony program).
Other San Diego Junior Golf Association Donation/Sponsorship Opportunities
Tournament Entry Fee Sponsorship:
- Underwrite annual costs of participation in SDJGA tournaments (including membership dues) for San Diego youth who demonstrate a financial inability to cover these fees individually.
College Scholarships:
- Underwrite college scholarships for qualified SDJGA participants.
Traveling Teams:
- Underwrite expenses associated with traveling teams for qualified SDJGA participants (i.e. Hogan Cup, Americas Cup and Mary Cave Cup).
San Diego Junior Golf Association Awards Banquet:
- Underwrite expenses associated with season ending Awards Banquet for SDJGA juniors and families.
Transportation:
- Underwrite costs associated with the operation of four (4) vans to transport SDJGA tournament equipment, volunteers and staff.
San Diego Junior Golf Association Communications:
- Underwrite annual production and maintenance costs associated with SDJGA Membership Handbook, website and newsletter.
San Diego Junior Golf Association Volunteer Recognition:
- Underwrite costs associated with volunteer awards and recognition luncheon.
While we realize support of the San Diego Junior Golf Association may
stem mainly from a personal belief in the unique value systems inherent
in the game of golf, we would like to offer the above listed categories
should entities wish to self direct their charitable contributions more
specifically. It is our hope that general belief in SDJGA objectives will
allow you to view these Donation/Sponsorship Opportunities in a favorable
manner.
