Junior Pacific Cup

Hosted by Golf Australia, the Victoria Golf Association and Ron Baddeley, father of PGA Tour Professional Aaron Baddeley, a team of highly ranked San Diego Junior Golf Association members traveled to Melbourne, Australia to compete in a team match play tournament against the top ranked Australian junior golfers in February 2009.  This marked the beginning of the Junior Pacific Cup in the alternating home and home format.  Aside from the competition, the goal of the Junior Pacific Cup is to bring together junior golfers in a familiar environment (the golf course) and allow for new friendships and new cultural horizons to be explored. 
The 2010 Junior Pacific Cup will mark the second year for the tournament and the SDJGA’s first opportunity to welcome the Australian players to San Diego for a week of competition.  The result of the 2009 competition was a draw.

 

Schedule of Events:
February 13th – Australian team arrives.
February 14th – Practice rounds.
February 15th – Am/Am Tournament with formal welcome dinner.
February 16th – Round 1 of 3.
February 17th – Round 2 of 3.
February 18th – Round 3 of 3 followed by awards ceremony.
